TEDxUniversityofEssex is a student organised event happening every year in early May which all started in 2019 with our Metamorphosis event (read more in our interview with the society founder here).
Following the University’s catchphrase “Rebels with a cause”, the team composed mainly of student volunteers from the TEDx Society delivers the event even under challenging circumstances (such as the fully virtual 2020 Risk Taking event, which you can still watch here or our 2021 Unknown. Unfinished. Undone event with hybrid delivery here), offering fresh ideas and perspectives.
Contrary to the popular belief, TEDx events do not get material/personal/financial support from TED, nor does our TEDx receive that support from the University based on which we are distanced from the University of Essex, simply carrying out an event on the university grounds.
The students behind the event are seasoned and skilled troubleshooters, working diligently around their academic deadlines and other responsibilities to create an amazing event for everyone involved.
